Administrative Director
Rena Lowenstein
The backbone of the Zinuk center, Rena provides much of the love, warmth, and stability to the program. Rena has learned many different fields, and most recently has worked as a registered nurse, lactation consultant, hydro-therapist, and an aerobic instructor. Rena brings with her a great deal of life experience and people skills, which comes in handy when trying to encourage, inspire, and direct parents and teachers. Most of the day to day managing of the center falls on Rena which she does in her trademark calm, patient, cheerful way. Rena’s natural “mothering” of both children and their mothers helps to create the “Zinuk family” and not just some other center.
Educational Director
Ahuva Freud
The children’s love for Ahuva is surpassed only by her love for them. She connects to the children and really understands how to help each one. At the same time, the staff also feel how much they are cared for and are able to ask any question. With a love for learning and a desire to teach there is no person more equipped to run our educational program. Having learned occupational therapy and several different emotional therapies (play, art, music, drama, animal and sport), Ahuva has been successfully helping children develop and integrate their emotional and developmental sides together for the last twelve years. Ahuva has training as a teacher as well as a certified BrainGym instructor and has completed the entire Brain Balance certification program. In addition, Ahuva is a certified reading instructor. Always continuing to learn and progress in her knowledge, Ahuva is constantly taking courses and trying to make sure her methodology is the most research based and up to date, thus enabling each child to get the specific approach that will help them the most.
Didactic/Art Department Supervisor
Sara Bulman
Immediately upon completing her certification as a special education teacher and a private instruction teacher, Sara started working at the Zinuk center. Almost overnight she was a sensation with the children and their parents. Always taking extra courses on the side, having done a concentration in art combined with natural g-d given talent to relate to children, Sara is one of our most popular teachers. This year Sara has moved on to the next level and in addition to working in the morning with the children in our nursery school and in the afternoon with some of the older children, she has started helping some of the younger, newer teachers plan and give over their lessons. She teaches love for and belief in every child, while at the same time helping them learn the skills they need.
Exercise/Sport Supervisor
Leah Alkichen
A certified exercise instructor, teacher, and sport therapist, Leah is driven to help children progress developmentally. Always looking for how she can make her lessons more interesting and more productive, Leah has become one of the most sought after exercise teachers in the city. In addition to instructing in our morning exercise program, working with the children in gan, and working with children both privately and in groups in the afternoons, Leah now teaches some of the other staff about different developmental challenges and how to correct the problems. She helps other staff plan interesting, exciting, developmentally appropriate lessons and the entire Zinuk family both staff and families are seeing the results!
Early Education Specialist
Sara Bracha Lebow
The three years Sara Bracha spent formally learning early education was just the beginning. Now in her fifth year working in our therapeutic nursery school and early education program she has become somewhat of an expert. Sara Bracha regularly participates in continuing education classes. She works together with other staff members to build challenging and yet realistic goals to help children develop in the best way possible!
Nursery school teachers
Racheli Rosenfeld
A certified exercise instructor with a concentration in early education development, Racheli is the perfect person to teach in our nursery school. Always with a smile on her face and a kind word to the children she specializes in making developmental exercises fun and effective.
Rut Lixenberg
One of the newest members of the Zinuk staff, Rut started off as a substitute teacher and instantaneously won her way into the hearts of all the children and their parents. Coming in with a strong background in special education both in her learning and previous work experience, Rut is working with the oldest members of our nursery school, helping them gain the tools they need to integrate successfully into the regular education system
Etty Weiner
Coming in as an art major, Etty brings with her an entirely different perspective in her job as assistant in nursery school. Always making sure that the children get the “full experience” and everything is hands on, no-one is more well- loved and gives over more love and excitement of the world to the children as Etty. The older children who participate in the afternoon program, benefit from Etty’s sensory with art program; it gives them a way of exploring the world, working on sensory and motor planning skills and more, all the while creating masterpieces.
Yehudit Smadar
Yehudit’s easy going personality and her permanent smile help all the children in our nursery school regardless of age connect to her and want to do what she says. Sport therapy was a natural choice for Yehudit to learn as she likes to move and wants to help the children, with a strong emphasis on their emotional state. Always ready to help and encourage, Yehudit is one of the most popular assistants in our nursery school.
Zinuk employs many therapists of different backgrounds in order to give the children the highest level therapy possible. Each child is placed with a therapist who specializes in their needs while at the same time we try and set them up according to personality, so that it will be a mutually enjoyable experience for both sides
